Dining In Style Under A Markilux Awning

15 Apr 2013 Troy

Our clients own a beautiful beach house at Macmasters Beach and needed a shade solution for their outdoor dining area on the balcony.   Their builders Cochran Constructions contacted Blindmaster to assist and sales consultant Troy Breglec worked with Glenn Cochran to provide a suitable solution.

The clients chose a Markilux 990 Kinder Cocoon retractable awning 5M wide with a 2.5M extension and  fully enclosed cassette to protect the fabric and folding arms when retracted.  The 990 also has a sleek profile that is unobtrusive when closed.   They opted for a manual awning with the exclusive servo assist gearbox control providing easy trouble free operation.  They selected a striped fabric in natural hues to complement the home’s features and coastal setting.

Blindmaster worked closely with the client’s builder throughout the project – they organized a timber beam support to ensure a secure installation of the awning.  Due to the coastal location the awning was face mounted using stainless steel coach screws.

The result is a fully integrated folding arm awning that looks great when extended and blends into the home’s façade when retracted.  The client couldn’t be happier with the result!
