Not Your Mum’s Blinds

Often customers will visit the showroom looking for anything but roller blinds.  This view is often fuelled by memories of mum’s shiny vinyl blinds or materials that are better suited to a city office block.

But today’s fabrics are contemporary, classy and cutting edge.  A great example is a recent job we did for a client in Collaroy Plateau.  They wanted a window treatment that would protect their beautiful timber flooring and furniture from low winter sun and also cut down the glare in the room.  With magnificent water and bushland views they just couldn’t bear to block it completely and standard fabrics left them uninspired.  Mark Smith suggested a bold fabric from Helioscreen’s Modern Living Collection called Burlesque that really hit the mark.  The rich black colour and alternating sheer and translucent stripes complemented their furnishings and allowed the view beyond to show.
