Lee Wharf

Project Details

Markilux 760 vertical awnings were specified by the Sydney based architecture firm Crone Partners for the Lee Wharf residential apartment and waterfront development project.

The Markilux 760 vertical awning utilises a belt tensioned guide channel mechanism that provides excellent stability in wind. One hundred and twenty six (126) awnings were installed throughout this project with each apartment having control of their own awnings.

Blindmaster’s Simon Lightfoot project managed the supply and installation of the Markilux awnings in conjunction with the builder Richard Crookes Constructions.

The awnings serve to reduce the solar heat load on the northern and western facades of the buildings and provide a welcome wind break for the otherwise exposed balcony areas.
