The Markilux 8800 conservatory awning system is one of the most versatile products in the Markilux range. Ideally suited to shading skylights and pergolas, the 8800 is also used in angled or vertical applications where reliable, stable retractable shading is required.

This Mosman apartment required special installation techniques and safety measures to successfully position the awning on top of the 45 degree angled glass window. The area was previously shaded by a folding arm awning but it was rarely used due to instability in wind and inadequate extension.

Blindmaster provided this solution and the customer has been very happy with the result. The product is discrete with its fully enclosed cassette headbox and the channel guides meld with the existing steel structure on each side of the glass. The view can be enjoyed at the press of a button and a wind sensor monitors weather conditions.
